Has anyone done it?
We have a boat load of scraps at work and I’m thinking I could lam a bunch of this stuff up and turn it.
It’s all 3/4 ply.
What do you think?
And the best part is it’s FREE!

I have seen a number of turnings done with plywood … none from bamboo plywood that I know of.

I do know that plywood is hard on tools (the glue dulls them quickly), but if you are good at sharpening or have access to carbide tools that shouldn’t stop you.

Give it a try and post the project(s) you make with it!

I have done a few things with bamboo. As stated, sharpen tools often.

Thios bowl was made with stacked bamboo ply.

That looks so cool!
I don’t think I’m ready for prime time yet. ;-)
Thanks for sharing that.
Best,
Rick

Keith was doing some turning before he left.

Not saying this is your case but I just saw somewhere that if it’s imported bamboo it’s probably glued with formaldehyde glue. So just be careful please. Dangerous stuff.
