Way to go Mike, look at all you have done over the past two years!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats
We should have got together for a coffee before I moved. I am now in SE Indiana, I am about 45 min. west of Cincinnati, Ohio.
What a difference in the price of wood, WOW.
375 bf of beautiful hard maple for $500.00 and a lot of it is really well figured. All air dried for 4 years 8/4 and 12/4 some boards live edge on both sides 24 to 30 inch wide with live edges. No cupping, no twist just wonderfull hardwood.
This guy I found lives in a small town 15 mins. from me. He has an old saw mill that he now powers with a 671 Jimmy diesel engine. It used to be powered by steam, the mill is around 100 years old. He has 2 – 60” Dia saw blades they sit over and under. I’ve never seen any thing like it before. You can tell it’s from a different era from the lack of safety equipment around the saw. He says his only complaint is that everything requires lots of labor. Now as he is getting up in his yeas and retired from his real job he is going to make it a little more user friendly.
Mel has all kind of different speices of wood, my next purchase is the dark walnut.
Any how good job on two years.

Ed, sorry we never had that coffee. I was just thinking about you the other day. I was thinking about sending your an email, to see how school was going! Cincinnati is a little far for coffee now :). It sounds like you have found a good supplier for some nice lumber.
