I have had my R4512 for a few years and have enjoyed it up till now. I upgraded the fence a while back and it has been working like a dream after getting everything lined up. So I have been pretty busy in my shop lately getting things together for the nursery. Last night I put my dado stack on and go to raise the blade and during the turning of the wheel it starts to raise but once I make a full revolution it makes a “clank” sound and falls down and to the right back to the original height. Before I start to take it apart I’d like to know what the possible problem and solution could be. I ran my finger along the worm wheel and height adjusting rod but can’t feel any abnormal gaps or missing teeth. Any ideas?
