Topic tags/keywords: stump kiln wood

Hi guys, I’ve got myself a tree stump that I’d like to do something with from a tree that came down in the neighborhood. Does anyone know of a kiln in the Atlanta area that would dry it for me and what the price would be like?

Hardwoods Inc on Riverview near 285 used to have one, but they shut it down a year or two ago. Last time I was in there, he mentioned another place also on Riverview that has a kiln, but I don’t remember who it was anymore. You might want to give them a call to see who they recommend.

It would take forever to kiln dry a stump. In my kiln, it would take many months, I don’t know how many. Probably at least 6 months. At $25/day, that would be $4500. You might just want to let it air dry naturally.
