Ive done some googleing, but im a bit confused…

Can i use regular Spray lacquer on copper tubeing, or will it discolor it in the future?

I will be sanding/ brightening all the copper up, and want it to look new for a long time.

Here's one I didhttp://lumberjocks.com/projects/55879 three years ago.
I used spray lacquer on the tubing after I spiffed them up and they look just the same today.
It is a magazine/end table at my daughters house.
Go for it. You will like it…..........................
