I am thinking about turning a shaving kit which would include a shaving mug, brush, razor and stand. I was planning on using the same finish I use on pens for the brush, razor and stand, but am uncertain what type of finish to use on the mug as it will have the soap in it. Any ideas?

I don’t want to be discouraging, but I wouldn’t plan on the finish holding up in that service. Better plan would be to get a liner (glass/plastic) and turn the mug to fit it.
