Thank you all that have responded. I now believe the beautiful lumber with the bluish green rings and 3d luster is in fact Walnut and not some exotic heartwood like Qebracho. Maybe you can understand my confusion, when that lumber was rescued along with theses exotics???? This incredible Mahogany and some Ebony as well ( it does sink when you put it in water). Or am I dreaming again? Please, don’t misunderstsnd, regardless of what the names end up being, I truly am appreciative of their beauty, their texture, and feel. I hit the jackpot!!! It’s time to start building something!!
