Hey Guys,

I just bought the Bosch JS470 jigsaw on Amazon. It was $142 yesterday, but today it dropped down to $124. There is also a $25 instant savings promotion on Bosch purchases above $100, so the total price of the jigsaw is $99.

I’ve been planning to buy this for a while, but I’m glad I ended up waiting.

Just a heads up for a good deal on a good jigsaw.

Nice deal.
I ‘just’ spent a $100 Amazon gift card this morning on a new miter gauge (and a BBQ thermometer).......otherwise I might have gone with a new jigsaw.

Thanks for sharing…I was looking at this one recently and thought I had decided on getting the JS572EBL if I could find a deal, but the 470 is very tempting at less than half the price.

Amazon automatically deducts $25 from the total price.
Makita and (i think) DeWalt are running the same promotion on Amazon on certain tool purchases over $100.

Nice find. I’ve been in the market to replace my jigsaw and keep flip flopping over the 470 and the 572 barrel grip. unfortunately, I blew my tool budget on Jet parallel clamps. I’m pretty sure I’m in financial recovery mode for a little while.

Mine was delivered today. I didn’t realize the 470 doesn’t have a light like the 572.

The case is also a little disappointing in that it’s reminiscent of the case for my Skil jigsaw, unlike the cases for my other Bosch tools, which are double-molded. For a moment when I removed it from the box, I thought it might have been an L-BOXX, but that was just wishful thinking. Oh, well, at least it’s rectangular rather than some goofy shape that doesn’t stack very well (like the case for my Skil jigsaw).

Those minor complaints aside, I’m excited to try it out and not have to worry about my blades falling out any more during a cut. I’d still be hesitant to pay more than twice as much for the 572EBL even with its light, improved blade stabilizer, L-BOXX, and lighter weight.

I’m pretty sure it sold out at that price. When I bought it, there were only 3 left at that price.

GLOAT ALERT: My jigsaw arrived yesterday. If I factor in tax and a nice perk I got from American Express offers ($15 off any purchase from Amazon over $15), I paid $84 and change for this jigsaw. After a quick test to make sure it works, it’s now repackaged and under the Christmas tree.
