Hi,
My pride just took a hit…
After having adjusted the fence, I start making a few cuts (90•) – all good.
But just after a few cuts, I am off .5•.
Been fooling around with it for 2 hours….

- Blade alignment is within 1 thou
- Work piece is properly clamped
- No movement of the sleigh
- Miter gage solidly locked…

I just can’t see why…

Thanks for your help!

Does it lock similar to a 1000hd?

Do you think you might’ve locked it down a hair off 90? Which is your true 90 and it slipped all the way into the detente?

Hi,
Thanks for your help!
My 1000hd sits on the Miter Express.
it is solidly locked.
I get 90• sharp for a few cuts, then, I lose .3-.5…

Any beer left in the fridge?

Is the edge of the board registering against the fence dead flat? Any slop along the length of the miter slot? Underwear gnomes?

OK – found it…
Once the front of the sleigh is passed the end of the miter slot, the 2nd adjustable nylon glidelock was not perfectly adjusted, so there was some play… Fixed.
Thanks guys!!
