Thanksgiving leftovers and the ensuing sandwich is a craft i take pride in. I prefer to go hot and open faced. Here’s my pictorial synopsis …

Grands biscuit coated in microwaved gravy.

Layer of slightly warmed mashed potatoes.

Followed by warmed stuffing and turkey (cajun fried in this case).

Finished off with more gravy and cranberry sauce. Warmed again in the microwave.

Whats your style?

I’m a big fan of thanksgiving leftovers but on a regular not open faced sandwich. gotta be messy.

My leftover of choice is similar to yours Stef, just no cranbizzles for me, and regular white bread. We always called them hot turkey sando’s (no relation to hot carls). My other favorite is the old standby cold turkey sando with only bread, mayo, turkey and lettuce(optional).

I just sent this hot mess straight down my gullet.
