I can tell you why, coming from someone being new here. I have seldom been received so well into a group by perfect strangers. I wasn’t 1 hour on the sight and had several people welcoming me. When you post a project you get nothing but nice comments from people. I believe that means a lot to people as some are a little nervous to put themselves out there in fear of criticism, we all know how the internet can be. I’ve never met a woodworker I didn’t like and now I can say I have 8,000 woodworking friends even if I haven’t met you all. I will definitely tell everyone I can about L.J.”s . It’s so fun to be popular! This is such an impressive site, it took me a while to re-visit after my initial registration, but I can’t seem to stay away now. Martin, This site is awesome. I can’t believe how many projects are posted each day, how quickly people join. There is so much stuff to do here, so many things to follow, that it has become difficult just keeping up. I’m lovin’ it. Thank you, Martin, for such a great idea while keeping the site upgraded, modern, techy, and CLEAN. And thank you, Jocks, for making this site what it is for everyone to enjoy. Congratulations Martin on another milestone. I have to agree with everyone here…........this is the best woodorking site I have been on and I have enjoyed it every minute I’ve been here. And I have learned a lot also even though I have been a woodworker and cabinetmaker for over 30 years off and on. Thanks again Martin. My hat goes off to you and your team. Congratulations on the count. This is by far the most informative, professional site it’s been my pleasure to join. The amount of blogs, projects, and information is staggering. Thanks to you and all who share their experience with all things wood. |

With the exception of the rare and recent scammer, the people on this forum are really friendly and helpful. Some forums absolutely reek and drip nastiness – but not here – this is a site where woodworkers of all skill levels can congregate and enjoy each other’s company. -- "Heaven is North of the Bridge" |

I’m catching this place on the upswing! I just joined earlier tonight, and I’m already in love. Martin, you’ve grown an amazing site here! My only disappointment so far is that I took until now to find it. -- Gary, Los Angeles, video game animator |
