Hi All, Just thought I’d post a few pix, but I know not where to put them? But I thought sweating for bucks fit well Although, I do have AC in this crane. The last pic is of the computer that tells me how far away my load is, how much my load weighs, how much I can handle at that point, boom angles and wind speed. -- Thanks The WoodButcher http://woodbutchernc.tripod.com/ |

I love to watch cranes in operation. Thanks for sharing, those logs you toss around on your saw mill are small potatoes for you, when you go home. They just built a wood burning addition to our local public utilitiees plant last year, with a crane just yours. I had to get a closer look. -- -** You are never to old to set another goal or to dream a new dream ****************** Dick, & Barb Cain, Hibbing, MN. http://www.woodcarvingillustrated.com/gallery/member.php?uid=3627&protype=1 |

Here’s a few pix from today. I got the steel forman Nick to pop some pix fer me. In the third pic, you can see the connectors waiting for the steel. Each one of those beams weights right at 2000lbs. The Headache ball alone weights 1600lbs. -- Thanks The WoodButcher http://woodbutchernc.tripod.com/ |

Woodbutcher, Very Cool! The pictures give new meaning to the term “Erector Set” – if you remember those. You should count yourself as fortunate that you get to build things at work and in your shop. -- Mark, Webster New York, Visit my website at http://thecraftsmanspath.com |

Hi Mark Mazzo, Bob. I do count it as a blessing to have the ability to operate cranes for a living. I could have a shovel in my hands in the cold, rainy weather. Also it’s like Bob said anybody can do it once or twice, but to do it all day, every day for 30 years and NOT hurt anyone has to be a blessing. It’s alot of fun when you have a good team of connectors in the sky. -- Thanks The WoodButcher http://woodbutchernc.tripod.com/ |

After watching my Brother in Law so effortlessly regrade the back yard, with this “tiny” rental (and seeing that both my father in law and I couldn’t get it to do much beyond spasm, I totally can appreciate what it takes to operate those big puppies. What’s equally impressive is that he hasn’t used anything like this in decades.
No that aint my BIL, that’s my little one, (he’s right behind her in the shadows, and no it’s not in operation at the time of this photo) -- I am always doing what I cannot do yet, in order to learn how to do it. - Pablo Picasso -- http://snbcreative.wordpress.com/ |
