SICK OF WINTER?
Well, I guess!
We are getting the first thaw in the middle of an historic Winter.
I don’t heat the ww shop because its too expensive. Projects are in a gridlock pattern.
I can’t wait for the crocusses!!!!

I was sick of winter before it even started. With what seems like a mile of sidewalks that need the snow removed, a laneway that seems as long as the I 95, chicken copes, pigeon coops, frozen water pipes, soaring heat bills, new snow tires, fuel bills for the machinery, maintenance bills for the machinery.

Its a lifestyle but….............one more month and then it all melts

I’m with Roman, and I don’t have all of his problems and much below freezing and it to cold to work in the shop, or I should say that the amount of clothing required make it nearly impossible to do anything in the shop

Rain? Whats rain? Scotsman, here on the high desert we pray for rain. When it does rain I’ve seen the schools let out just so the kids could go stand outside and see what they learned in the science books! ; )

Actully I am with everyone else in that it is cold here and I wishing for the heat of summer.

Yea, this 53 degrees is getting old. ( insert sarcastic face here )
It won’t be long until it’s 110 and everything you touch burns, so I’m ok with the cold for now ( it’s what we call cold anyway ) lol.
Still….everything takes twice as long to dry, and I’m ready for the heat, bring it on….

Winter can be dreary, but you have enjoy it’s beauty.

This is our local planetarium, & nature painted a scene of a city skyline on its roof.
Have you ever seen a bluer sky?

Nah, winter is fine…gives you a chance to work inside, read up on all the skills you’re looking forward to trying when it’s warm, and prune various trees (winter best time for many trees!)

I only minded the few weeks where it was -10 or -20. There I worried about the car working.

The winter isn’t too bad except for the 3” of ice we’ve had on our streets. we had 50*F yesterday. Hurry up and MELT!!!!!!!!! I grew up in Maine—up there the snow had the decency to sit there and not melt and refreeze. I am sick of ICE!!!

How about lake effect snow, I live 10miles south of Lake Erie(Albion Pa) and we get pounded on a regular basis with lake effect. A couple of weeks ago there was only one other place in the country that got more snow for the season according to our local news, some God forsaken place in Michigan had us beat by 30 or so inches. So yes I’m sick of winter with my unheated shop. I’m just glad I found lumberJocks so I can stay motivated over the winter, oh ya we got 50 deg. weather for two days now were under a flood warning and there calling for 3 more inches tomarrow! snow

I do not mind the snow but hate the bitter cold we have been having. I had enough of the bitter cold when I lived in North Dakota. At least here we have four seasons. North Dakota’s four seasons were July 3, 4, 5 and winter.

I think I’m ready for spring as well. Getting tired of finding my truck has slid halfway down the driveway every morning! I did discover that all that sawdust from the shopvac makes good non-skid when tossed on the icy areas! Think I’ll post that.

Well, I’m not a big fan of winter, but it is a part of life here in Canada. No sense wishing it to end, life is just too short. Before you know it, summer will be here and we all will be complaining about the heat. I am looking forward to getting back on the golf course.

Yes I am sick of winter. Worst one here in years as to the cold. Not much snow or ice but too cold to get into the shop. I am looking forward to some warmer weather so I can get back to the woodshop and some gardening as well.

Got our 6-8 inches of snow (with the snow-blower on the fritz -oh joy!) the day after it was 53°F and sunny. Bring on the crocuses, snow-drops and squill. I’m so ready, even if it harkens the mowing season.

Winter is great! As long as it’s not cold and damp or in my neighborhood. Once things warm up I have to do more garden and pond chores, so I need to do the wood workshop stuff fast!

I’ll take winter over summer any day. In summer if you’re stripped down to your civvies and you’re still hot your out of luck. In winter, if your cold you just put on another layer. Winter is the only season that I’m save from mosquitoes. And with my extremely pallid skin tone I have to worry about sunburn in winter let alone summer. No, I prefer winter.
