I didn’t need another vac or sander but I was cruising Craigslist and came across a festool CT22 and a RO 150 Rotax sander. Both were very dirty but ran well. Got the pair for $240. Cleaned ‘em up and they look great.

That’s quite a deal. Those tools look like brand new.

They aren’t new. They looked pretty bad when I got them. I don’t think they were well cared for.

Well done. I’m interested to hear how they perform.

I have another vac and I can’t tell the difference in their performance. The end of the hose where it connects to the tool is a little worn.

The sander doesn’t run quite as smoothly as my other 150 rotax. I’m not sure if I would notice the difference if I didn’t have another one to compare with.

It must me my lucky week. I found another person selling a Festool Domino 500 that has never been taken out of box. He wanted $500 for it and I was happy to take it off his hands.

It may have reached the point where enough Festool’s
are in the hands of people who aren’t really interested
in the craft that they’ll start to filter onto the used
market a lot more going forward, whittling away at
the high resale values. We’ll see.

I agree, Loren. They are becoming more common and available.

Waho – I like the plate idea. Woodpeckers has a one time tool available now that is appealing but pricey. here is a link.

Correct. There’s a couple of threads on the FOG discussing that

very product.

I like the base, however, I think the story stick with the stops is cumbersome.
