I have been one of those guys getting started into wood working with little knowledge (granted, 2 years into it and still learning). Hence, my reliance on LumberJocks quite often good or bad.
I bought my bosch compound miter saw refurbished with no instructions. All this time… I “asssssssumed” I had to cut relying on the degree hash marks, which have always been irritatingly off.
I came across this video on how to fine tune a bosch miter saw. Figured, should share it with others here if they too fell into the ‘I didnt know’ bowl like me.
I will be spending a couple hours aligning my miter saw after this.

Helpful compound miter saw video

The miter saw is one of those tools that gets overlooked, great find for help on aligning it. Oh, and I wanted to mention that I’ve been woodworking for about 10 years now, and I’m still learning. Once you get one thing down, you learn another or refine the old. Heck, sometimes I just have to relearn things because I haven’t done them in a while. I seriously don’t know how anyone figured anything out before the internet!

Relying on LJ is ALWAYS good. (Just don’t be a Richard)
