My wife loves me!
My old 14.4v Milwaukee 1/2” drive drill is about to give out after it’s second set of batteries and nearly 15 years. I won’t mention why I had to purchase it in the first place.
Yesterday, the wife went to our local True Value and got me a spankin’ new “DeWalt 18V Cordless 1/2 drive VSR 2 speed drill. It will be a great replacement for my trusty old friend, the Milwaukee 14.4V Cordless 1/2” drive VSR 2 speed drill. There aren’t many drills even at 24V that could beat it, but I think the brushes are about worn out. It has run anything from a 1/16” drill bit to a 6” hole saw. It’s just time for the old fella to retire.
It won’t die and be trashed, I’ll build a new set of brushes for it and use it in the mini lathe I am designing. The machining on it has always been that accurate.

Just use it to make something for her.

Thomas, The majority of the stuff I make is for her. If she doesn’t want it, I can do what I want with it. YOu should have seen her going through 200 poker chips.

Thankyou ma’am. She is very good to me. We have been a team working and living together 24/7 for the last almost 16 years since we met.
As I get older and more broke down all the time, she takes more of the landscape maintenance off of me on our job.
