I need some info on which handle is the best for an auger, the T-bar type? Why choose one handle over another? Has anyone had a good or bad experience using this type of hand auger that they could share?

T handle vs bit brace? Bit brace wins. If you are talking barn augers, the only handles I’ve seen are T variations.

It depends on how big the drill bit is. if it is over 1” a t-handle is better since you can get more torque on it. that being said I have used a BIG brace to bore a 1.5 inch wide hole into some black locust. And that was only because my worthless craftsman drill was not cooperating that day
