Topic tags/keywords: wood sign

I am looking to make a sign,. and would like to know what type of wood this is? I found this picture online., from the looks of the final product it looks durable for the exterior. Also,. do you think the fabricators took multiple planks and glued them together to form the large sign? Thanks!

Considering it is going outside and from what I can tell by the fresh color I would say Red Wood.

To get a piece that size,. one would have to side glue multiple pieces together?

Man it s really hard to tell. The dark and light areas on there are either shadows or areas of sap and heartwood. If it’s sap and heartwood then it is several pieces glued up. I think Gshepherd is probably right . Redwood or WRC.
