He is one dedicated surfer to go out on the lake as cold as it is there. But I am glad it is him and not me.

No thanks, I learned how to scuba dive in Superior out of Marquette in August many years ago and that was bad enough, even with a wet suit! Not to mention that one of the suits that I rented had a tear in the crotch. Couldn’t wait until that days class was over.

I am a troll and have swam that lake in the summer. I cannot believe what I am seeing. Mike from down by Lansing. It was too dang cold in the summer, you would turn blue after 2 minutes in the water. You are right Garry, Yoopers are made of different stuff. Mostly beer and pasties. Laughing with you, mike the troll.

For those who are wondering, Those “Michiganders” who live in the lower peninsula are called “trolls” because they live “below the bridge”. Once you cross the mighty Mackinac Bridge, into the Upper Peninsula, the inhabitants are called “yoopers”.

That’s really a great picture…..have you thought of sending it in to Surfer Mag. They would probably print it. I’ve dove and surfed in cold water….but that takes it. Nice curl for in a lake…..............................................yoda

May as well swim there now. Water temp difference between now and August is about 2 degrees!
