Hey guys, Just a quick question. I made a routed bowl out of pine. Just to practice with. The bowl came out good and I just hate not to use it. Could I still put cookies and candy in it even if its pine? What do I finish it with? Thanks in advance for your advice….Dave

You can finish it with just about anything if it’s not going to have liquid in it. Most finishes are no longer dangerous after drying. Pine itself wouldn’t be dangerous unless someone has a specific allergy to it.

You can use CA glue to reinforce the rot.
