Hi, im new here, i was looking for some advise on this subject. I was thinking of instead of using this large sliding table for my tablesaw, could i use it for my bandsaw for resawing logs instead? Has anyone done anything like this?

Kind Regards, Ron.

Ron, a bandsaw will work well for slabbing lumber from logs. If you do a search for log sleds you will find several entries posted here. One that has been posted by Bob#2 is posted here. The bandsaw would be a much safer tool to use for slabbing logs as opposed to the table saw, not to mention the gain in cutting height. As to whether the table can be integrated onto your bandsaw that question I cannot help you with. But if I were doing this in my shop I would build a sled for the bandsaw and use the sliding table on my table saw.

I’ve got an Exaktor sliding table on my table saw and I love it. One of the best purchases I ever made.
