I want to make some band saw boxes and band saw puzzle boxes. Would a 10 in saw be good or should I use my 14 in saw with a 1/8 or 3/16 blade? I want to upgrade my rigid band saw what saw would you recomend? I mostly use band saw for resawing.

No brainer, go with 14” band saw. You can use the smallest blade it will take, 1/4” 1/8” or 3/16” for making band saw boxes. You can’t resaw on 10” saw.

I hate laguna with a passion but their new 1412 looks pretty sweet. If i was to buy another bandsaw i’d likely get the heaviest one i could find on craigslist or buy a grizzly.

Look on your local CL ads. For resawing ,get the biggest band saw you can afford. And keep a 10” for cutting band saw boxes.
