I ordered a Grizzly G1023RLWX which is on backorder till mid December, and I don’t want to wait that long.

My question is Do I switch to the G1023RL, RLW or go for the G0690 instead.

Both saws have very good reviews so I am having a problem trying to decide.

I would definitely say the G0690 over the G1023. The dust collection may not be as good, but the trunions are very similar and just as beefy as the older unisaws.

Actually, the dust collection on the RL’s isn’t that much better, according to all the reviews I have read. It does have the dust schrod under the blade, but reviewer’s say they were taking it off because it sometimes clogs.

From my perspective as an engineer I would rather have the G0690 anyway.
I know they both have similar reviews, but I just like the design og the 690 better.

For what it’s worth, I bought the G0690 about a year ago. I’ve run several projects through it, and I’m very happy with it.

The only thing I like about the 1023’s is the single poly belt, but to replace it, you have to remove the entire table off the cabinet to get at it. That is why I am considering the 690.
I do like the better rip length of the 690 without having to move the rail.

I also vote G0690. T\I think the trunions are the tie breaker

I actually used one when I ordered the RLWX the beginning of September. I called Grizzly last week to see how much longer it would be on back order and they told me mid December. When I ordered the saw they said mid November, so I asked if my 10% coupon would still be good if I changed my order and they said no problem.
I intend to reorder the new saw Monday.
That is why I was asking about the 1023RL or the G0690.
From the advise I am getting, it sounds like I’ll be ordering the 690.

Gotcha …..I’ll post a forum to see if anybody wants a code…..Tough decision on either the 1023 or 690…..They are both good saws from what I’ve read in reviews and on other forums….good luck !
