I’ve not had a jointer before. CL has a Craftsman 5 1/8” 7/8 HP motor for $120. It looks in very good condition and clean. Is this too small of a jointer?
I’m just trying to see how far my budding interest in wood working will go. I might end up only making stuff for the garage so I don’t want to go crazy at first. And I want to conserve money so I’ll be able to get a decent planer.

5 1/8??? is it a benchtop unit? If it is I would avoid a bench top unit
