Hello, I am trying to duplicate this molding but I cannot seem to come up with a technique to do so. I would greatly appreciate any insight of how this was made. It was part of an old mahogany desk. thanks! AJ

Obviously the carving is 3/4” apart. It should be easy to do on a lathe as it relate to measurements. Once you have your lines drawn, then use a saw to trace the marks and file the thickness working towards the way of the thinner lines. Better yet, go to HD and get some already made.
