When I view certain projects, an index pops up on the left of the screen.
I really like it because it allows me to drill down to certain types of projects. (jigs, cabinets, tables, ect.)
Why doesn’t it show up on every page? It used to didn’t it?

It was such a pain in the rump to log on to this site I’ve forgotten what I was looking for. Thanks for nothing so far.

I found it. They are called “Tags”.
If you scroll way down to the bottom of this page you will see them.
It seems to me like they used to show up on the left of the page when I was viewing projects.
They still do at time but not always.
Like this. http://lumberjocks.com/projects/tag/jig
It’s a head scratcher.

Bigest problem has always been too many members do not use tags. Or when they ask a question, they tag “question” rather than the subject they are asking about.

Tags are input by the individual when you post a project so if the person doesn’t add them, there won’t be any. For example your rocking chair has no tags. You can still add them by clicking “edit” and scrolling down to “tags/keywords”. I agree that they are very useful for searching and wish everyone used them.

Unfortunately a few years ago things were tightened up to control spammers and other undesirables. The site is one of the best on the web.

Thank you for the comments.
I have edited my post and added “Tags” to it.
