So still rolling my eyes at the price Jet is asking for the casters for this sander ($129!). What have others used for casters? Is it a half inch stem?

I just bought some locking, threaded casters from amazon (red wheels) and picked up the nuts at home depot. Worked great on my 16-32

I made a frame to set my stand on (2×4s half lapped at the corners). Then I used the cheap casters that attach with 4 screws. I find this to be a more stable arrangement than those casters with the single threaded bolt. Your mileage may vary but all my mobile tools are set up this way and I’m very pleased with them.

I have this arrangement on my 18”, 5 HP Woodmaster planer that weighs 500 pounds.
