Well, I figured what the heck and bought the above bandsaw for myself. Not knocking Grizzly but after I got done adding the same features to a grizzly I was well over $1200.00 not counting delivery, and plus Rockler was having a sale, 10% off. At one time I had the Grizzly G0555X extreme bandsaaw with the riser kit but life happened and I had to quit wood butchering for a while. Even then, the G0555x was still almost as expensive as the 14/12 was after the riser kit and it doesn’t have the cast iron trunion anymore. When I bought mine they came with the cast iron trunion, I don’t know, maybe they still do but it’s not mentioned in the about this saw part. So, my quandary? The saw is at the freight office ready to be delivered and I don’t have a day off until next Friday, over a week away. Another problem, they will only deliver in the am, which stinks (strongest word I can use in a family oriented site LOL) and they close before I get off work (I work 10 hrs a day) and that’s the way it is. What really stinks is I can’t (well I could, but I can’t, know what I mean?) call in sick to have it delivered and my vacation is already accounted for. Sorry for the ramble but I had to get that out of my system, thanks I feel better already. Any who, any one have this saw and how happy with it are you? I didn’t buy the light or wheel kit as I have my own wheels and I’m wiring it for 220v so why buy something I can’t use? Well, it would be really really bright but only for a few seconds, LOL. Any thing you are really pleased with or anything that really disappointed you initially but got over? At 1hp the Grizzly really didn’t cut it (pun intended) and it couldn’t be really pushed, not that I push my tools that hard. I know folks say wait for something to come up on CL or classifieds but nothing has shown up in 3 months. It’s either a piece of junk or too far away to be practical. My intended use will be wide and varied, from bandsaw boxes to othe boxes with dovetails, etc…
Well thanks for any input
Pat

If it helps, you can see if the freight company will redirect the delivery to my house and I’ll sign for you. I’ll even put it together and let you store it in my garage as long as you want.

Also, thank you for noting that your pun was intentional. One of my pet peeves is when people type, “no pun intended”—by the time you type that, it’s clearly intentional! :D

I recently bought this saw primarily because it’s the most HP I could find in 115v.
I have no issues so far and I really like the blade guides.

bought my 14-12 in March have no regrets at all have heard some complain about the table height I’m 6’3 and so far have found no issues in fact I have a stool I park my hind end on when I’m using it for the small cutting and it’s perfect. the box it’s packed in is heavy but if you have a van or even a suv you could get it in the back with the rear seat down I have a ford Edge suv and was going to pick mine up till I found that a friend was about three miles from the store with his truck the day I bought it. hope you are as happy with it as I am Oh that light is great but has to be on 110 volts and if you convert yours to 220 the plug on the saw won’t work for the light. only issue I have with the light is if the guides are set real low like you were cutting 1/4” stock you will get a shaddow on your cut line but I could still see it just not as good. good luck and enjoy

Thank you everyone for the feed back. It’s appreciated greatly. Rob I would be happy to let you help me out by taking care of the bandsaw for me. I won’t even charge you for the bandsaw, but the delivery fee is $1300.00 but only if you are CONUS. Hawaii and Alaska doubles the shipping fee LOL. I must admit I am very excited about this band saw.
