hi there I was just wondering if there’s anybody out there who’s made a lathe before cause I got a few extra motors laying around and thought I wonder if its possible to make my own lathe well if anyone out there has made one before or has an idea how to make one could you please post a picture or something to help me out with the design

There were quite a few in Fine Woodworking articles
over the years. Some of them were most impressive.

You can get CD/DVD archives of FWW articles. There’s
also a book, “Making and Modifying Machines”.

While I have no interest in building a wood lathe some different approaches. Of course there is more info available if you look.
