Topic tags/keywords: bandsaw vintage duro antique saw blades band saw price

I looked at a 16” Duro bandsaw today all cast iron weighs about 500lbs. It comes with 20. Various blades, 110/220 volt, I look at the cheaply built saws today and the quality in this saw is unbelievable it is built to last forever. The picture here is simular to what he has for sale. Do you guys think this saw and the extra blades are worth $400.00? No cracks or breaks anywhere that I could see.

Perhaps. It depends on your criteria. If it has the
gearbox for cutting metal that is something
rather special.

From the listing for that saw model it
looks like it may be similar quality to Davis & Wells’s
larger band saws. They are sought after for
precision. You can check for vibration and accuracy
of travel of the upper guide arm.

Here’s the manual

I don’t think you will find a comparable saw new for that price. Saws with that size and quality go for $800 and up. I would buy it.

The price seems to match with the quality of the band saw. It looks great. If it runs in a really good condition, take it.
