I have $750 worth of Home Depot gift cards I can’t use.
Got the cards in exchange for points. Was planning to use them at
Bummer.. HD accepts canadian gift cards only in person, not through
Problem is the Bosch 1617 and the Freud router bits kit are available for purchase online only….
If you live in Burlington and are planning to buy something big at HD, PM me – I will help you save 5% on your order.
No scam, really, just stuck with cards I can’t use and trying to get some money back…. to go buy a Delta 36-725 at Lowes!

I live in Montréal. I am willing to drive all the way to Burlington anytime.

Thanks guys.

Yes, I’m in Colchester, 5 minutes from Burlington, but I can’t relieve you of your gift card.
I posted on your other thread…..
Could you go to your local HD and special order the stuff you want???
I would think the “Pro Desk” or customer service would do that, then you could pay with the gift card.

Good luck.

Randy – I checked already, the stores themselves can’t order what is available online only.
Very frustrating. Transaction was supposed to be simple… now it’s a mess…
Only option for me is to go buy something for someone in person at HD and get cash back…
Pretty annoying….
Maybe you need a new fridge? A new Bosh dishwasher? LOL….
Thanks for chiming in…

Sorry to hear about your plight. In the past I’ve bought HD gift cards off of Craigslist and I would meet the seller at the store. I would spend the gift card on a single big ticket item before handing them cash to avoid any possible mischief on their end, and then would then just go back to the returns desk to return the item and get a new store credit card that had brand new numbers that the person I bought it from had no knowledge of.

I would have to imagine you could do something similar in this situation. Use it at a US Home Depot and seems to me that of you returned the item at a US Home Depot as well, you would get store credit back in USD. store credit works like a gift card, you can use it online. I could be completely wrong but it seems worth a shot.

Good luck with your cards

The problem is that the store credit can’t be used to pay a purchase made online…
What I want is only available online…. That’s the issue….
Only way is that I buy something for someone who will pay me back in cash…. or with a US HD gift card….
Thanks for chiming in.

Or – you buy the product and i pay you back with the gift card you can use later….

Have your say...
