Topic tags/keywords: delta 36-900 unisaw limited edition norm abrams arbor saw

Hi – I’m still looking for a good cabinet saw! I’ve searched the wide internet via Google, but this saw has pretty much no commentary going for it ! (Or against it, for that matter.)

Delta 36-900 Unisaw Limited Edition Norm Abrams arbor saw

I understand from what I have read is that they were built in 1996? Would anyone know if they were built later, as an ongoing thing? I’m looking at this saw on the West Coast, and wondering what its today value is.

Any insights would be greatly appreciated. The amount of knowledge on this site is mind-boggling.

Thanks in advance!

Its just a unisaw with some chrome wheels and a shelf on the extended table. Delta made the same saw for over 60 years, it will be identical on the inside compared to any other saw. It should be priced at exactly the same value as any other unisaw. If someone is trying to sell it for significantly more then I would pass on it.

I think that’s the one they painted an ivory color. There was a few other tools they sold at the time with the same color scheme. From the mid 90’s into the early 2000’s Delta thought introducing a “new” tool meant you painted it a different color, maybe threw in some extra’s, and take a picture of it next to Norm (or somebody) and viola!, you have a new model! You confirm the manufacturer date by looking at the serial number (back of the cabinet). The first 2 digits are the year it was made. Like minorhero said, the Unisaws are all pretty much the same, and I expect that one to be a very good saw. BUT, the “special edition” doesn’t increase it’s value (IMHO). Mine is a 2001, and it’s painted silver….called Platinum Edition.
