The woodworking categories at our fall fair are just a little bit…dated, and I’ve been asked to make a list of new categories for the prize book. I am suggesting projects that are small enough to display on a table that can be made by people of varying skill sets. Mostly, we are looking to increase the amount of entries so there is something interesting to look at for the 2015 fair. Here is what I’ve come up with so far. Any suggestions would be helpful.

- welcome sign
- seasonal ornament
- bandsaw box
- wooden mallet
- cutting board or cheeseboard
- child’s toy
- cribbage board
- carving under 10”

How about some simple boxes other than bandsawn boxes? Boxes are always popular.
