Topic tags/keywords: 34-444 tablesaw

Long time reader, first time posting.

I got a free hand-me-down Delta 34-444 contractor saw from my brother-in-law. He upgraded the fence and got cast iron wings since he owned it, discarded or lost the original accessories, then got a newer/better saw that could fit his accessories. Now I have a decent table saw with no wings and no fence.

I am planning to build laminate wings like the ones here:

...or maybe even a set of cabinets like this:

But my real question is – what fence would you recommend? This is a free saw and I’m on a budget. I don’t think I need anything larger than a 30” fence since I’ll be setting up in a one car garage. After reading through some reviews I’m leaning toward the Delta 36-T30 T2 fence. What are your thoughts?

T2 is a good bang for the buck ~ $200, and should be a direct bolt on for that saw. The Vega is a nice fence for a bit more.

I’ve got that same saw, and put a T2 on it. It’s a very good fence, even at the now slightly higher price. I do, however, have the old JetLock fence that came with it that I’d be willing to sell for pretty dang cheap. Send me a PM if you’re interested.

I have the same saw with the original fence. I’ve seen a lot of original stamped wings for those around.

Thanks for the tips guys. I pulled the trigger on the T2 fence.
