I have three 690’s
One I leave set up………for a particular purpose
One is a D handle that I really like. I have made a half-dozen Lexan sub-bases for this setup and really really like this tool.
One motor is an older 690 that has the cord coming out of the top of the unit. Damn I hate that cord being on top instead of the side.
I have the older motor in a BRAND NEW plunge base. Unlike some other folks, I find I get very good results with that plunge base.
Anyone know of anything that does a good job sucking dust/chips out of the 690’s ???
Presently I put one of those big mouth gizmos that are on legs and adjust the height to the table, get it as close to the table as possible and try to route throwing dust/chips in the direction of the big mouth.
I use a 6 feet piece of 2 1/2” or 3” (can’t remember which) hose adapting to my small power tools like my belt sander and ROS. 6 feet long then connects to 4”. Love the set up. No 4” hose on the table to hassle with.
If anyone knows of something that improves dust collection off the 690’s, I would appreciate knowing about it.
Researching was just a series of crap.
Thanks in advance………… Bruce
