Some of the plans that I download are either from Canada or England woodworkers and we all know their plans are in metric. So, instead of continually trying to convert and/or approximate I have purchased a metric tape. Now I can follow the plans exactly. I don’t understand why it took me so long to cave. A lightbulb moment… BTW, I thought the US was moving to metric. How many other lightbulb moments are out there that can be shared with the dimmly lit folks like me?

Uhhh?? What does “Moment” have to do with your post? Is she metric? Do you have a life outside this site? Why do you ask questions that, when posted, have answers from you not relevant to the question?
Yep! 2014 is a different year, and won’t see me replying to any of your weird posts.
Are you on drugs?

Anything I measure is measured in metric units. Somethings like plywood come fractional so some of my tools are fractional but most that have a size are metric when I can pick. I went that way several years ago and have found my measuring mistakes have greatly decreased. YMMV.

Bill White, not sure if moment is metric or not…you’d have to ask her. The reason I brought up moment in a metric thread is that she has been following me lately and I wanted everyone to know how great she is. Also, Bill, this is 2014 and you said you would not reply to anything I write. You must have meant after this one last time…right? Nope, no drugs, just a happy person.
