Topic tags/keywords: bandsaw question

I’m going to finally order a wood slicer blade for my Rikon 10-325 so I can re-saw wood into thinner pieces. The absolute max height of the wood would be 8”.

I know that the existing Rikon saw fence really doesn’t work for me for several reasons, height being one.

So I want to buy (not make) one for this purpose. I do have a mag switch basic unit (which I like) & there is a re-saw guide attachment available. Does anyone have experience with it or other experience & suggestions on other available options?

Thanks for the input Eddy – I was really hoping to find something to purchase (ideally with a magnetic base – such as the mag switch since I have the base unit anyway) so trying to get feedback on that…

At present not much input on that unfortunately, but apppreciate your suggestion – it does allow plenty of height. Looks like you bolted into the in upper center slot of the stock fence, did you counter sink the bolt heads into the MDF? Attach anywhere else?

I use the Carter Magna Fence II with my band saw. I can attach a face board however tall I want, or use it as is. I have been very happy with it.

I wonder if the Kreg 7” resaw guide will fit the Magswitch universal track?
