I would be interested in an 18” or 24” Flatmaster if anyone has one anywhere near Holland, MI.

It’s basically a v drum sander for flattening boards.

Thanks woodsmithshop, I may go that route but I always try to buy used.

The E-Bay adds are from Stockroom Supply, they make the Flatmaster. http://stockroomsupply.ca/shop/drum-sanders.html Just remember you still have to get a motor for the sander. I have been very happy with mine, I have the 24 with the wings. I used a Grizzly motor on mine.

I also have one of these sanders. I bought the 24” kit and built my own. The only thing I wish I had done different was buy one of their tops. I wanted mine a little bigger so I made one from MDF and plywood laminated together and put a Formica top on that. It does work but I am trying to figure out if there is a way to use these components to make a drum sander with a moving table. Maybe it’s not possible.
