Topic tags/keywords: bessey clamps deal

Ladies and gentlemen,
I am currently looking to buy about 12 50inch bessey k revo clamps, I have seen these clamps in Home Depot for $44 which sounds like a great deal however every other site sells them for about $70 to $80, I’m very suspicious about this? Is the quality different from the other sources? Rather buy well and buy once!

They are the same anywhere you buy them. Home Depot is clearing them out, to stock another brand. The Bessey Revos are great clamps.

Nope, HD cleared out irwin and jorgenson for bessey, Lowes cleared out Bessey for Irwin. A clamp is a clamp is a clamp, it mostly depends on personal preference. I have 4 or 5 different brands, none stand out as “superior”.
You have to remember, if you want it to look good hanging in the garage, then by all means you must get the same brand and highest priced clamp you can find. In the real world you buy em cheap and a lot of them.

If you do get those 12 x 50” puppies and you clamp something up with all 12, make sure the clampee is happy where it lies when you apply the clamps.

You’re not going to want to try to move it afters.

And yeah, they’re fine clamps and I doubt the HD ones are 2nd class versions.

I have Grozlings and the Bessey and the Besseys are definitely superior but the Woodcraft deal was/is a sweet deal for a definitely good enough clamp.

I have one of these that I bought at an auction, but truthfully I prefer pipe clamps.

Same product. Home Depot recently picked up the agreement with Bessey and no longer stocks Irwin. Lowes is now the Irwin supplier. All my Bessey clamps are from Lowes during their purge.

They should all be the same, not like some other more complex tools that are de-specified to a price point. My K-bodys were also from the Massive Lowe’s selloff, they are a more convenient to use than the old K-bodys which represent the majority of what I use.

Have your say...
