What is the best router bit to use in a homemade Offerman style sled? I am building a live edge cherry table and will be flattening the slabs with the sled. I am using a Festool OF1400 router

Holy crap. That looks like a wood zamboni. How much of that cutting surface do you keep in the wood at a time?
