hi guys,

Which bench vise would you get. Just the basic mechanic bench vise or the bench vise which can rotate for pipes

If you are willing to spend a little more than i a cheap chinese one these forged ones are top notch: http://www.schraubstock.de/en/vices/vice/bw/120/
Will take a beating and probably last longer than you. Rotating bottom plates are an accessory.

Hope this was usefull?

I’ve owned this one for maybe 5 years. No complaints, it’s been a real workhorse and taken a beating. I ordered off of Amazon, and the first one I got had one of the base mounts cracked off. I also saw the UPS guy drop it in my driveway. So I had a new one in 2-3 days from Amazon, and sent the old one back.

I just spent about :05 on craigslist and saw some real monsters for 100-200

Vintage American made stuff that will get your job done.

I’m in chicago, YMMV

I’d go that route before I bought new.

I’ve used a Wilton for over 40 yrs.
Little more spendy, but IMO worth it.
