1. Goodbye Jim. You’re one of the most level headed, calm, nice guys I know. I wish you luck in your retirement should you go that direction. However, before leaving you have to relinguish the title of Grand Pooba of Lumberjocks. If I find someone worthy of the title I will bestow it upon the lucky member.
2. While reading all of the good luck posts under your thread I was feeling pretty good…until I read that one of our members decided to retire at the old, old age of 50. A declared government retiree. Probably has 50% pay, full benefits and never had to work the 401k system. How the hell does that happen? Our town has potholes that can’t be filled because retiree benefits must be paid. I could rant for hours but will quit with just this tiny rant.
3. What the heck has happened to Lumberjocks…the Coffee Lounge in particular? Should rename it the Milk Toast/Timeout Getaway. Remember when Lumberjocks was exciting? Oh well, it might just be me. Ya can’t live in yesterday…

Bantering is not allowed on this site anymore. Fun neither.

Was listening to radio Sunday morning.
Host was interviewing American author Anne Lamott when question came up, “do you think Jesus had a sense of humour ???”.
“Undoubtedly” said Anne Lamott,
“personally I think laughter is carbonated holiness”.
What a fantastic quote.

Cheers, Jinky (James).

So did you edit your own post to remove references to a number of specific Coffee Lounge topics, or did someone do it for you? Quite milquetoast-ish if you did it yourself. C’mon, Deek, we’re counting on you to liven things up!
