Topic tags/keywords: earlax spray finish

I am trying to finish a murphy bed that I had built. I want to finish it with the same paint as are trim through out the house. We have a latex semi gloss finish. I put about a quart in the gun and then thinned it with 10% water. I am using a 1.5 needle since this is still furniture also.

The problem is that I still get a orange peel look with spraying the wood. What am I doing wrong?

So far so good, but stir it with a mixer in a drill for 1 minute and also add two ounces of Floetrol to the mix. You should be spraying from about 6” away from the project, any farther than that and you are either spitting or spraying dry paint onto the project, or both.
