Is $200 too much for a used TurnCrafter Pro with stand and chisels?

Topic tags/keywords: novice lathe good buy question turning

I am considering purchasing a lathe for the first time. An ad in the newspaper reads like this:
”Wood Lathe, 4’, TurnCrafter w/ stand and chisels $200”
I played phone tags with the seller. His message indicated that it is a TurnCrafter Pro, variable speed.
My questions are:
Is this a good lathe?
Is it priced right?
What problems should I look for to avoid buying a tool that I am disappointed with?

I appreciate any assistance provided.
