I have a Jet 1 hp single stage dust collector. Would a Oneida Super Dust Deputy improve my suction and be easier to empty shavings?

The super dust deputy is not designed to improve suction but rather it is designed to keep your filter from clogging by collecting most of the larger wood shavings & dust before they reach the filter…Obviously the cleaner the filter remains the longer the existing suction will last without degrading due to a clogged filter.
Shavings will definitely be easier to empty.

Assuming I have a clean filter, will I lose suction if I install this device?

I have a HF dust collector with the Super Dust deputy. I have it on a piece od MDF and mounted on a trash can. It works quite well, but you will lose some suction in the process, but your filter bag will stay clean and the plastic bas will have very little dust in it. I also have a Wynn filter that replaces the dust bag.
