Topic tags/keywords: sawstop table saw extension wing extension support mobile base workshop

I am posting this question to see if anyone has any experience with this or insight. I am looking at the sawstop 3HP proffesional sawstop with 36 inch fence. However I have a small shop and like to move the saw around I don’t want to mess with an adjustable leg extension support on the saw table extension side.

I am planning on making my own additional extension wing since the ones included with saws aren’t usually as durable as I would like and I make mobile bases out of angle iron with total locking casters for easy mobility.

Will the saw be tipsy without an extension support (36 inch fence) and do you think the extension wing will sag or not without the additional support?

Thanks for any responses,
John P

I have had mine about six months- Sawstop 3hp PCS with 36” wing. My “shop” is in a one car garage bay that I also keep my 40 year old BMW. When I am woodworking I have to take the car out and move the saw to the middle. The support legs to the wing just barely touch the floor and at some points when I am moving the saw, not at all. So far I have had no issues with the wing sagging.
