Picked up a used Sawstop contractor saw off craigslist.

It had about 2 hours use on it according to the previous owner but it hardly looked even used that much, before going down to look at it I called Sawstop (who have excellent customer service b.t.w.) and asked them about the saw as I had the serial number and it had no bad history and is the current model. It had a little surface rust which cleaned right up. It came with 2 cast iron extensions, the 2 steel extensions, dado brake, dado insert, extra brake, outfeed table and mobile base – the only thing missing I think for a maxed out SSCS would be the dust collector stuff.

It is rock solid, better than every saw sub $1,000 I looked at when looking to buy a new one a few month’s ago – the mobile base is simply awesome as is the beis style fence.

I don’t know if it’s “gloat-worthy” or not – I paid $1,000 for it what do you guys think?

Either way I am very happy with it – now to sell my 5 month old Ridgid R4511 and Incra TS-LS fence to make room!
