I have a cheap-o craftsman band saw and want to upgrade, I found this one, what do you think? http://grandrapids.craigslist.org/tls/4615668029.html It has a 1/2 hp motor and he will go down to 395. My quick research shows they seem to be closer to the 250 price range, but this looks clean so I wonder if it is worth the cost. Anything to look for if I go look at it?

Thanks, I had offered 350 and 395 is as low as he would go. Maybe my best bet is to wait and if it doesn’t sell after a while, make another offer and see if he will accept it. I guess you don’t usually get a good deal by jumping for the first thing you see and taking their asking price.

I have 2 bandsaws, one identical to the 14” listed. Great solid machine . The one listed looks really clean and well kept. It’s better quality than anything new, in it’s class.
