Ok, so I buy a lot of scrap exotics from other people to make jewelry and small trinkets with, and normally it’s marked as to what the wood is. Well, I got one that came in marked as guavadilla, which is not a wood, it’s a passion fruit that grows on vines.

So… care to take guesses?

It looks like some kind of rosewood, which is all that I can tell you, since there are so many kinds of rosewood out there. I just bought some from a guy in Ann Arbor, and that rosewood looks like this. Looks cool, whatever it is.

Ya, it’s pretty for sure. I just don’t like not being able to tell a customer exactly what wood it is. :)

Ok, so it’s Granadillo, not Guavadilla… Perhaps the person I bought the wood from just finished eating a guavadilla when he was marking the board…

hahaha….
