I just got this unisaw cheap off craigslist, the seller said it’s a 3hp single phase 220 motor, but he didn’t have a 220 outlet to power it up and it came without a plug on the end of the cable. There are no markings that I can find anywhere on the motor, no sign of brand, model, power or voltage. How do I find out what this thing is?

You’re in luck, it is a 3hp 230V single phase motor, made by Marathon electric.

Awesome, thanks! I got a plug for it and it fired right up, seems to run fine.

Have your say...
